Thesis Release

Released 2021 Jan 11 (build 44.20.23)

“Must-see” notification update

News Admins: The option to send out a “Must-see” notification for a News item (i.e., a notification that users cannot opt out of) has been replaced by a new “Notify” feature. Those who have edit rights on a News item will see the Notify option in the action bar of the viewer, but only after the item has already been published. This allows for it to be used at any time, (unlike "Must-see", which can only be used when publishing). A note can also be included to add any related details to the notification.

NOTE—this update will also be applied to Events notices and Library updates, as well as result in the removal of "Must-see" notifications as an optional blocked action for Reporters.

Library: New data fields added to Volume stats CSV

Librarians: The Volume usage stats report (which can be exported via CSV from a Volume’s Info menu) now contains three additional fields of data: Added By, Modified By, and Description.

Now displayed on slide-out panels, they can be accessed by selecting a Category or Volume from the left column of your Library and then clicking the i-icon in the action bar.

Automation users

System Admins: This new user type has been created to allow organizations to set up third-party integrations (e.g. Zapier) or to configure user provisioning (see below) without having to tie the function to an existing user's account. Each Jostle customer is provided with one free Automation user slot, with the option to add more via paid slots.

Automation user accounts do not get affected by most of the login control settings (but will have a mandatory MFA login). For more information, go to Admin Settings > User accounts and data > Manage Automation users.

Okta user provisioning

Organizations that use Okta can now manage user creation and updates in Okta and then have those changes automatically pushed to their Jostle intranet. For more information, interested customers can see this article or contact support@jostle.me
