As evidenced by numerous studies (referenced in the infographic below), businesses that make employee engagement a top priority are more productive, earn higher profits, and have lower turnover rates. Engaged employees are loyal, enthusiastic, and committed to their work. They understand their role in the organization and feel trusted and valued as part of the team.

On the other hand, employees who aren't engaged lack passion for their work and won't go the extra mile for their company. At the farthest end of the spectrum, you have actively disengaged employees who hate their jobs and have a miserable and disruptive attitude at work.

There are many steps that businesses can take to increase employee engagement and gain a competitive advantage in the market. Here's an infographic from MadMax on how to do it.
