Release cycle theme: Sweet treats

Did you know that the thin, crispy goodness known as wafers actually date all the way back to ancient Egypt?

The wafers of way-back were very plain and simple. Today, however, everyone is probably most familiar with wafers as a component of many popular sweet treats, including cookies (wafer sticks, Oreos) and chocolate bars (Kit Kat, Coffee Crisp).

Wafers also provide us with the classic, common ice cream cone. Not to be confused with waffle cones, which are big, brittle, and pointy-ended, wafer cones are those sturdy yet flaky, squat, flat-bottomed cones you probably remember from your childhood. There seems to always be some ongoing debate over wafer cones vs waffle cones, but we (and by "we" I mean "me") think they both have great qualities, and won't waste time worrying which one is worthier.

We won't waffle over wafers or wonder about waffles. A whiff of a waffle won't be a whiff for the waffle, for the waffle's waft will be wonderful. All the while, worthy wafers offer worthy ways for cones to stand on their own, without worry of wiggles, wobbles, or wipeouts.

We'll go with whatever we wish, which is "waffles and wafers", both for the win. 🏆🏆

(Especially since neither are sugar cones. Those are the worst.)
