Fries Release 🍟

Released on 2019 June 19

What's new

  • Save time organizing your Library with drag and drop
You can now reorder Volumes within a Category and move Volumes between Categories by dragging them. You can also quickly reorder Categories in this way.

Who can do this: Volume Librarians (Volumes) and Category Librarians (Categories).

  • Events and Classifieds editors now match the News editor
We heard great feedback about the updated News editor, so now the same editor layout can be found in Events and Classifieds. Rather than scrolling all the way to the bottom to access settings, they can now be found in the Options column on the right.

Who can do this: Events Creators and Managers for Events, News Reporters and Editors for News.

  • Viewing attachments in Discussions just got clearer
We updated the view/download/remove options for managing attachments in Discussions. This new visual navigation allows you to better view attachments at a glance.

  • You can now turn off your location indicator
Previously, if your administrator had location indicator enabled for the organization, but you wanted to turn off yours specifically, you would have disabled it via browser settings. Now you can easily turn off your location indicator via My Preferences.

Who can do this: all users.

  • Limit the number of users that can be added to a Discussion
Sometimes a large amount of users are accidentally added to a Discussion, which creates a lot of noise and confusion. While you were always able to whitelist who can start a Discussion, you can now limit the number of users that can be added to a Discussion. You can still use the whitelist to manage users who can exceed that limit. Email support@jostle.me if you’re interested in this.

Who can do this: System Administrators.

PLUS  90 other bug fixes and/or performance enhancements.

Did you know that those oh-so-delicious, but certainly not nutritious, McDonald's fries are harbouring a dark secret? And no, it's not that they're not really made from potatoes (they are). However, that doesn't mean they're exactly vegan-friendly.

It's about that addictive, world-famous taste that McDonald's fries have. Turns out that it's due to "natural beef flavour" added to the vegetable oil used in their fry pans. So, if avoiding animal products is part of your regular diet, you might have to say "bye-bye fries" from now on (or you could just choose to believe that this flavouring is simply a by-product of cows enjoying leisurely dips in soothing vats of veggie oil and just soaking there for a little while...y'know, like big, bovine tea bags).
