Jostle introduces Library—a new take on content management

The Jostle Library frees key content in the enterprise from the pitfalls of traditional fileshares, making it easy for employees to quickly find go-to information.

Jostle Corporation unveiled today that it will be debuting an innovative enterprise Library functionality at E2 Innovate in Santa Clara, the leading conference and expo for social enterprise tools and technologies. The Jostle Library frees key content in the enterprise from the pitfalls of traditional fileshares, making it easy for employees to quickly find go-to information.

“Our research revealed that employees waste hours per week finding reference information, forms, manuals, procedures. Moreover, they often end up using obsolete information without realizing it, causing further waste and confusion,” observed Dave Humphrey, Director of Design + User Experience at Jostle. Jostle’s new Library solves this problem.

The Jostle Library makes it easy to organize and curate key reference content within the enterprise. A majority of file and media formats are supported and rich search functionality is included.By elevating the key forms, policies, training videos, and marketing materials, Library delivers key information in a quick and reliable way without the chaos traditionally associated with fileshares.

Traditional approaches fail because lack of curation leads to a clutter of outdated information and multiple versions of the same content in different locations. Jostle’s Library fixes this by making it easy to organize information in clear volumes, each with an identified “librarian”. Curation tools are built right in, including the ability to highlight specific content as “recommended”, effectively surfacing it for easy discovery.

The Jostle Library if also fully integrated with Google Drive. “Maintaining the organization and integrity of files in the Google Apps environment can be challenging. Focusing on the needs of our customers and strong usability, Jostle’s Library makes it simple to provide key information in a reliable and easy to navigate way,” further clarified Mr. Humphrey.
