Jostle going to CAMA 2015 with 3 CAO's to discuss city leadership

Join us at CAMA2015 for a fireside chat with three municipal Chief Administrative Officers.

Three CAO’s will share their experiences creating a more connected workforce. “Effectively sharing information and engaging all employees can be a challenge in a municipal environment, where the workforce is often diverse and spread out across multiple facilities,” shares Elizabeth Savill, Chief Administrative Officer, County of Northumberland.

Jostle Corporation is sponsoring the Long Service Luncheon at the 44th Annual CAMA Conference being held in Jasper, Alberta June 2015. The event celebrates long-serving city leaders, whose dedication to public service is creating vibrant municipalities. During the luncheon, Jostle will be hosting a special fireside chat with CAO’s from British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario. Discussion will focus on how these innovative leaders have overcome some of these challenges and helped employees feel connected to their leadership and vision.

The remarkable diversity and dispersion of skills required to run a city, town or county brings challenges. The fireside chat will focus on:

  • Internal Communication. Cities have unique communications challenges - employees are dispersed across different departments and locations, and have very different levels of computer access and expertise. How do we unite them?
  • Engagement. What prevents city employees from feeling engaged? How can these barriers be overcome?
  • Enablement. How can you better enable employees to do their jobs by connecting them to the people, tools, and resources they need?
  • Transparency. The value of transparency across different departments, locations, and silos. How do we make it a day-to-day activity?
  • Technology. How technology can play a role? Can it be introduced quickly?

Jostle proudly helps a growing list of Canadian cities connect their employees. Years of experience working with cities has enabled Jostle to understand the unique landscape city leaders face, and to provide a solution to ease some of the complexity. “This will be our 4th year at CAMA, and its been a pleasure to get to know this community.” said Don Wadsworth, VP Sales at Jostle.

Please join this discussion on building a more connected municipal workforce. The Long Service Luncheon will be take place Tuesday June 15th at 12:30pm.
